Functional dry needling (FDN) is a therapeutic technique used by physical therapist to treat various musculoskeletal injuries. It involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific areas of dysfunction in the muscles or connective tissues. By inserting the needles into these areas of dysfunction, FDN can help to reduce pain, release muscle tension, improve range of motion, increase normal nerve signaling, and promote healing. The technique combined with other physical therapy interventions such as exercise, manual therapy, and patient education helps to achieve optimal outcomes.

Myofascial decompression through cupping therapy is a technique that involves the use of specialized cups that create a vacuum over the skin to mobilize and release myofascial restrictions in the body. This therapy is based on the principle that the suction created by the cups helps to lift and separate the skin, fascia and muscle tissue, increasing blood flow, and lymphatic drainage. This, in turn, can help to reduce pain, improve mobility and enhance overall athletic performance.
